The Church

Hatton Methodist Church serves a wide area beyond the village itself, including Tutbury and Scropton. Ecumenical relationships are good and services are held jointly from time to time with Hatton Parish Church. The church has two large rooms attached to the church building as well as a well equipped kitchen and all facilities. There is access for wheelchair users and a loop system in use for the hard of hearing.

The whole building serves the wider community and until January 2009 an after-school Club met on the premises each weekday evening. However, due to the Credit Crunch, parents could no longer afford the fees for this.

Weekly Activites

Divine Worship is held each Sunday at 10.45am and each Service is preceded by a 15 minutes' Prayer Meeting at 10.15am.

On Special Anniversaries such as the Harvest Festival, there is an additional Service at 6.15pm.

Other Activities

The Women's Fellowship meets on alternate Tuesdays at 2.15pm in the School Room.

The Bible Fellowship meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month in the School Room at 7.30pm.

On Wednesday Mornings an Art Group meet in the School Room.
